the first nominated film is DEAD POETS SOCIETY
A 1990 film that has a 95% acceptance rate by Google users, whose main actor is the talented Robin Williams, who acts with the well-known, but super young at the time the actor Ethan Hawke.
The story begins in 1959, in a traditional preparatory school for young boys, and revolves around literature teacher John Keating (played by Robin Williams) who is a former student of the institution and was invited to teach him as a substitute.
Seeking a creative method to encourage students to become more critical and thinking, teacher John creates a rivalry with the school administration, from which he preaches strict guidelines.
The teacher then creates a beautiful friendship with a group of students during classes and in one of them he introduces to the class the "Dead Poets Society".
This film conveys messages of how the choices for life are the ones that make us happy, of living what we want and others don't want.
It teaches us the value of true friendship and respect, including between student and teacher. There are moments of joy, others of drama, and in the end leave, that thumbs up in the Netflix rating.
the next recommended is The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society
The youngest film on this Movie-List, but it deserves respect, including for its photography, with beautiful landscapes and costumes.
The cool thing about this feature film produced by director Mike Newell, are the quotes from books like The Wind of the Wuthering Hills, which many thought was just a movie, but is actually a classic literary work.
Interesting too, is the time he portrays, being at the end of the second world war, and shows how they managed to unite, even when the moment was one of insecurity and disunity. And the reading and the journey of these moments involved men, women, the elderly and children.
The film that at times looks like a drama, also portrays a true love story, one of those that awakens something inside us.
the third movie for you to watch on Netflix is THE READER
This 2008 drama is a film adaptation of the book Der Vorleser of German origin, from the year 1995 and features star Kate Winslet as the character Hanna.
The 36-year-old woman and a 15-year-old law student named Michael Berg, fall in love in the post-war period, in mid-1958.
In addition to the age difference, Hanna has a dark past for her participation in murders of women during Germany's war against the Jews.
Michael, called by her a boy, discovered years later that his romantic affair had a bearing on the bloodside of the war.
The literary quotes present in this film in the midst of romance and drama scenes are from the books Homer's Odyssey and The Lady with the Dog, that is, bedside classics, which are worth reading.
In addition to this secret, Hanna carries another, which accompanies her until her last years of life, where she resumes contact with Michael.
The Reader is a new portrait of the second world war that motivated and inspired writers and directors to talk about one of the most remarkable moments for Europe, especially for the Jews.
and as the best is always at the end, here is our last indication, the movie THE PHYSICIST
This book, that is, this movie, or rather, both, are based on facts that portray the beginning of the study of official medicine, no longer being treated by sages and healers, who related healing as obscurantism.
The film The Physicist The Epic of a Medieval Doctor, belonging to the trilogy of writer and journalist Noah Gordon, tells the story of young Rob. J. Cole, who began his taste for healing as a child, where the death of his mother due to the "disease of the side", currently known as Acute Appendicitis, motivates him to seek knowledge and professionalism to help other people.
To follow his dream, young Rob ventures from an early age in search of leaving his homeland in England, to leave for Persia, where there, he assumes a Jewish identity to be able to study at the Hospital directed by Ibn Sina (called Avicenna in the West), an Arab well known in the areas of Philosophy and Medicine, historically speaking.
During his journey to Persia, Rob. J. Cole meets people, gets involved in some problems and of course, a romance arises between him and a beautiful young woman who walks the same path as the other travelers.
This film portrays the period of the Black Death, which many have studied, as well as Medicine itself, which in the past was frowned upon by society, with its methods of dissecting bodies totally forbidden and seen as an act of disrespect to the dead and religion.
For these reasons, the film is interesting and adds value of knowledge by portraying the evolution of medicine, as well as stimulating the reading of the trilogy that fully tells how Rob. J. Cole then became a physician.
